Philip Stefani (00:00) hey, Alex, did you get my slack?
Alex Lawrence (00:03) I did not see what you said.
Philip Stefani (00:07) Just like what is her role? I couldn’t find her on LinkedIn?
Pam Harmon (00:11) I.
Alex Lawrence (00:14) actually do not know. I just had called her from, let me see if this… standby.
Philip Stefani (00:26) Is she chief nursing officer? She’s.
Alex Lawrence (00:28) chief nursing officer is what outreach says. Okay, cool.
Philip Stefani (00:35) That’ll work?
Alex Lawrence (00:37) That’ll work?
Alex Lawrence (00:52) Did you admit her or do I need to do it?
Philip Stefani (00:56) I don’t see her in the waiting room. Oh… okay.
Philip Stefani (01:08) Hi, Pam. Happy Friday. Hey, how’s it going? Pam? You’re on mute by the way, if you are talking.
Pam Harmon (01:19) There we go. How’s that?
Philip Stefani (01:22) Perfect. Okay. How are you? Oh.
Pam Harmon (01:27) I’m doing okay?
Philip Stefani (01:29) Excellent. Any big plans this weekend? No, no, hopefully just relaxing. Yeah, excellent. Well, we’re excited to be chatting with you. Are we waiting for anybody else from your team?
Pam Harmon (01:44) No, actually, I probably picked a really bad day because this is spring break for us. Okay? No problem. Almost everybody that doesn’t have to be here is not here.
Philip Stefani (01:56) Yeah. Makes sense. Does this time still work for you? Yeah. Okay. Perfect. Well, yeah, we can get started just in terms of the agenda. We’ll do some quick intros. And then, you know, excited to hear why you were interested in hopping on the call. I can talk about how we work with similar organizations really just want to see for today. Like does it, you know, is there something that medallion can help you with? If, yes, we can kind of plan what those next steps would be? And if not, we can part as friends. So that is my agenda. Is there anything in particular that you wanted to cover though that I didn’t mention?
Pam Harmon (02:33) No, we’ve been changing or updating our ehr to a web based ehr. And so we have been focused almost for the last year at trying to get that up and going. We’re running into a lot of… I don’t want to call them difficulties, but there are parts of it that don’t work out so well, mainly in the office part. I think as far as nursing and the clinical part of it, we’re getting along probably better than anybody in this organization is, yeah. But it’s been a lot different than we thought it was going to be. It doesn’t always do everything it said it was going to do.
Philip Stefani (03:27) Right. So.
Pam Harmon (03:29) We’re still having a lot of meetings trying to get all the bugs worked out and get everything so that it gathers it up. And I don’t know. We still, my goal is the things that I need to report on. I want it to be able to collect it. And so far, we have not been able to get it to do that for us. And so that’s my goal working on in the next probably month or so of trying to get it so that my reports automatically get gathered up. And I don’t have to spend all this time doing paper charts and stuff like that, trying to get it done absolutely. So we’ve just kind of put everything on hold trying to get all the bugs worked out of all of this?
Philip Stefani (04:28) Yeah, that’s helpful. So you’re implementing this web based ehr, it sounds like. And, yeah.
Pam Harmon (04:35) It’s expanse with meditech. Okay. And we were on meditech before, but we were, I don’t… know whether you call it grounded or, you know, we had servers and all that kind of stuff. And we elected to go to upgrade and go with the web based and it is a lot different than what we were used to. Yeah, we had clinics that were owned by providers and now they… basically, they’re owned by us. They all are employed by us except for one provider and he stayed independent but they’re all located here in our hospital. And so that has been a big transition because they had their own medical record and we had ours. And now we all have the same one. So I think they have a lot more problems than we do.
Philip Stefani (05:40) Yeah. So they’re still in that migration. You guys are standing up the web based ehr, I guess for the purposes of today’s, conversation, is the credentialing process going through this new ehr as well?
Pam Harmon (05:55) Well, it is. And they’re working on it and they’re updating it. So I don’t know where they’re at with that. So I think it’s all supposed to be one big package.
Philip Stefani (06:08) Yeah. Is credentialing something that rolls up to you currently? Is that within your?
Pam Harmon (06:15) Portfolio. No, it’s actually June is ahead of credentialing. Okay? And her and Nikki have been working on the credentialing… trying to get it all into the programs. So, I don’t know that now there’s a need for you guys, except I love your trainings, you know, when I can, I set in on your speakers because your speakers are, very good. I’ve learned a lot from them, so.
Alex Lawrence (06:48) But, yeah, yeah. And I, and not to interject, I guess that was kind of where I had called you and I know our convo was kind of brief just because you were out with your husband on leave. And so, I guess that was, I’m sorry to hear that.
Pam Harmon (07:06) Yeah.
Alex Lawrence (07:08) And I guess, yeah, that was kind of like where I was just hoping for the reconnect. And I know like you had come as an inbound looking at credentialing… and so, I guess that was where I had called off of.
Pam Harmon (07:22) Yeah. So I would say we probably don’t really have a need for you guys.
Alex Lawrence (07:30) You.
Philip Stefani (07:31) guys are doing this with an in house team currently.
Pam Harmon (07:34) We do have an in house team and we also, we… have like their team that comes and then they also are online with us. We have calls all the time.
Philip Stefani (07:50) So, yeah. Yeah, that’s helpful. We, you know, I think why Alex reached out and why we were excited to talk is just because we work with similar organizations to kind of help the credentialing team do that faster. Do you think the folks on the rooks credentialing team would be interested in connecting with us?
Pam Harmon (08:13) I doubt it because they’re working at doing this and I don’t think they want to tackle it again, you know, to get it switched over. So, yeah.
Philip Stefani (08:27) Yeah. Okay. Well, that is helpful. Yeah, I guess, you know, happy to cut this conversation short and give you some time back unless there’s any other questions that you had about medallion. Otherwise we can continue to invite you to the webinars that you’ve been enjoying.
Pam Harmon (08:45) That would be great because like I said, I like the all day ones where I can pick and choose the ones that I want to listen to. Yeah, those are really good too. So.
Philip Stefani (08:57) Perfect. Well, Pam, it was great to meet you. We’ll pass on the feedback to our marketing team. We’ll let them know that you’ve been enjoying those. And, yeah, if any questions come up, we’re really happy to be a resource. And if it does make sense to connect with your credentialing team down the road, if they have curiosity about medallion, you know, where to find us and we’re you know, happy to get on a call with them at any point.
Pam Harmon (09:19) Yeah. Well, and if this doesn’t work out, I will be the first to give you a call. Yeah, you know, but right now, I think they’re eyebrow deep… in getting stuff converted. So, absolutely.
Philip Stefani (09:36) Excellent. Well, I’m trying to think if there’s anything else… were there any other questions that you had that we didn’t cover?
Pam Harmon (09:45) I don’t think so.
Philip Stefani (09:47) Okay, perfect. And then remind me where are you calling in from again?
Pam Harmon (09:53) Plainville, Kansas?
Philip Stefani (09:55) Excellent. Okay. Well, I’m up here in Chicago. Alex is out in California, but I have driven through Kansas once. It was beautiful, hope to get back there one day.
Pam Harmon (10:07) Yeah. We like it. Except for, the wind is horrid but.
Philip Stefani (10:11) Yeah. Well, hopefully, warming up soon.
Pam Harmon (10:15) Okay. Well, thank you guys for all that you’ve done. I appreciate it. Yeah, like I said, I like all of your people, but this whole project’s been huge.
Philip Stefani (10:28) Yeah, understandable. Cool. Well, Pam. Again, great to connect with you and happy to be a resource if any questions come up in the future.
Pam Harmon (10:37) Okay. Well, thank you. Yep.
Philip Stefani (10:39) Have a good rest of your day.
Alex Lawrence (10:40) Take care, Pam. You.
Pam Harmon (10:41) too. Bye bye.
