Mitchell Thompson (00:00) good afternoon.

Janette (00:01) Good afternoon.

Mitchell Thompson (00:03) How we doing good?

Janette (00:05) How are you?

Mitchell Thompson (00:06) Doing all right. Appreciate you taking the time to chat with us on a Friday afternoon. I’m sure this is exactly how you wanted to spend your Friday?

Janette (00:14) No, it’s not, but I have to.

Mitchell Thompson (00:18) Well, it’s nice to meet you. I know that we’ve been talking over email, but nice to finally get a chance to chat… today. Should be as painless as possible. I’m just trying to get some more information so I can bring it to my product team to see kind of what’s possible. Essentially. So with that being said, if I could open it up to you a little bit around like where this process stands, what you’re currently doing to solve for this and maybe kind of like your ideal scenario, that would help me kind of figure out where we need to take the conversation next.

Janette (00:54) So we have to send this form out to 600 providers. We’re debating doing it on contractworks which is what we currently have and, you know, having the provider sign it, but then we still have the task of having to take that document and download it into medallion the delineate of privileges form. It’s something that the urgent care association is requiring for us to do, which is why this whole thing came up. We were just trying to streamline the process to see if there was any way that we don’t have to download it and something that you guys can send out and it can, you know, go directly into the file. And then he wanted a section that clearly states that on there for that specific form so that we know we have it on file. So, the other thing that we were looking at is there’s a section that when the providers are going over documents that you have them signed electronically, if it can possibly be placed there instead.

Mitchell Thompson (02:01) Yeah. So that one, we can’t add anything to that section as it stands right now. I can put in a request to see kind of like what that might take to get into the future. I had also looked at potentially like we can do like custom attestations, but I think because of the requirements of that form, like that form needs to stay in the format that it is today, right? Like there’s no, yeah,, that may not work either. And is this a new like privileging process… like this is all brand new for you? This?

Janette (02:39) Is brand new? Yeah, this is something we didn’t do before and.

Mitchell Thompson (02:43) What is the steps after they sign that? Like do you have to do the they.

Janette (02:48) Just have to remain in the file and it’s active and that’s it. We just need to have it to cover ourselves that the providers are agreeing to the formats and… everything that we have in there.

Mitchell Thompson (03:01) Okay. So there’s not any like additional like primary verifications or anything like that. No, it’s.

Janette (03:09) just an internal form, yeah, that we need to have.

Mitchell Thompson (03:12) All right. So, yeah, we have this essentially through this process. I’ll share my screen here and I believe this is similar to kind of what you sent over. This is just demo data. So we’re not looking at anyone’s data, but essentially through our privileging which I think is sort of what you guys are trying to do here. This is a step in that process and it essentially creates a file similar to the credentialing file that you have of all of the checks required in order to do that privileging. But it sounds like maybe there are no checks required. And all we need is potentially just this task.

Janette (03:53) Just a signature, okay?

Mitchell Thompson (03:55) All right. Let me check on that. The other, so I’ll see what we could do there. If we were to go the contractworks route. What is the lift that you guys have to do in order to get that done?

Janette (04:10) Well, we’ll still have to send it to all the providers, but we’d have to download the form one by one into medallion.

Mitchell Thompson (04:18) Got it. So on that side, do you know if contractworks has any like API… connections that like you could automatically feed it into?

Janette (04:32) Places? I mean, I’m not sure. I mean, I just go in there to look at contracts basically. Okay. But they have a whole bunch of tons of stuff in there. I honestly don’t know. I’d have to, I’d have to find out.

Mitchell Thompson (04:44) All right. If worst comes to worst, I think that I can potentially figure out a way of, and you said you have contractworks now, right? Like that’s not like an additional cost like it.

Janette (04:54) No, it’s not an additional cost and we have Adobe as well that we can have the provider sign. But again, we’re right back to, you know, having to do that extra step manually, right? And we don’t have kind of the it’s going to be very labor intensive to do 600 documents. You know, I don’t know how long it’ll take to do, but we’re just trying to avoid that. And then moving forward, we’re still going to need that form inside medallion. So making it part of a document is probably the best, you know, best practice for us. Okay?

Mitchell Thompson (05:24) So, I’ll check on this side. If we can’t get anything spun up within the time frame that you need this. I do think there should be a way that we can essentially automate the process of, okay, we send this email out through contractworks. They’re signing, you know, everything through there. And then it automatically adds into the documents section afterwards via the API. Okay. I do think that that’s possible and I can help walk us through that. I can talk to our technical support team to see like where we can support if you have technical resources and we can kind of figure out what that looks like. But there’s certainly no reason that you guys should be doing this manually. We can solve for something here whether we own it or we just kind of automate that process after it’s signed so that it all happens automatically. Then we can support that too.

Janette (06:12) Okay. If you would do me a favor and send me the Avi or the requests so that I can forward to legal and see if that’s something that’s feasible so that we can at least look at that route because I don’t want you to invest all this time doing it and then they can’t do it on their side.

Mitchell Thompson (06:28) Yeah. No, that makes sense. I’ll look at contractworks too and see kind of what they have from just like a technical point of view, just to confirm that it’s possible. And then we can go from there. And I’m sorry, from a technical resources side on your end. Do you have a team that could at least we do? Yeah. Okay. All right. And how hard is it to get those resources to at least have a conversation around this?

Janette (06:54) It’s not hard as long as I can send it to legal because he’s the one that’s kind of leading the whole project right now. My job was to reach out to medallion and see what we can do, got.

Mitchell Thompson (07:06) It.

Janette (07:07) so, kind of everybody was directed to do something.

Mitchell Thompson (07:09) Wonderful. So I’ll follow up here. Let me go talk to product on this and see like what we can do potentially within medallion. And if not, I’ll give you a plan B of what I would propose to kind of minimize the work for you guys. Okay? And set up an automated process. You can pass that along to legal and if they’re okay with it or if they have questions, you can connect me directly absolutely, and we’ll make sure that we find something that is easy and works for you guys and may require a little upfront lift and then we can go from there. Oh.

Janette (07:40) That’ll work. I’m just, we’re just trying to find an easy route. Otherwise we’re just our department’s stuck doing it. I’m just like holy cow that’s a.

Mitchell Thompson (07:47) Lot of work. Yeah, no, we’re not trying to add anything to your plate like that. I think there’s definitely something that we can solve for here. So, yeah, let me just go check one or two more things and then I will get back to you and we can connect the dots here on how we want to move forward.

Janette (08:03) All right, perfect. Thank you so much.

Mitchell Thompson (08:05) I appreciate the time. It was nice to meet you.

Janette (08:07) Okay. Nice meeting you. Bye, Amy. Bye bye bye.
