Shannon Costine (00:00) Cody, how are you? Hey?

Cody Smolka (00:02) Shannon, I’m well, how are you?

Shannon Costine (00:05) I feel like it’s.

Cody Smolka (00:06) a Monday. I don’t know what it is today but it’s definitely like, and… I don’t know. Yeah, it’s definitely something and it looks like it’s going to rain here. It’s really depressing.

Shannon Costine (00:20) What state are you in again in?

Cody Smolka (00:23) Up here in the north Dallas, Texas?

Shannon Costine (00:26) Oh, that’s right. Okay. So, you guys have kind of similar weather in Florida that we do? We have similar weather in Florida. It’s like it’s hot. It’s cold. It’s raining. I’m like,

Cody Smolka (00:38) it’s 73 outside but the air’s really thick. It just looks humid and the flies and the mosquitoes are like, I’m thriving right now. They’re loving it and I couldn’t sit on the back porch to have my coffee this morning without having the fan on to keep them from landing on me. And I’m like, well, this is fun.

Shannon Costine (01:02) I am so done. All right. Is it just me and you today? Do we have anybody, do we need to wait on anybody else?

Cody Smolka (01:09) Nope. Jean is off today. She’s she’s traveling and I am actually limited in time too because I’m driving and I’m about five minutes away from, a conference that I’m about to be going to and setting up, as a vendor and as a speaker. So I was like, well, I was like, I don’t want to cancel today’s, call in case there’s something we needed to talk about.

Cody Smolka (01:36) And so I was like, let me just get on and see what Shannon’s got going on and I don’t have any big like major pressing things on my end. Everything I’ve been able to kind of self am like, I sent you an email asking a question about how to do it. And then I figured it out after I emailed you.

Shannon Costine (01:52) Oh, no. Well, I’m glad you figured it out.

Cody Smolka (01:55) Yeah, I was like, I was like, I think I’m missing a step. Let me go back and try again. And I was like, there it is. I.

Shannon Costine (02:03) Don’t Cody, I don’t know what you do different than everybody else, but like you just get it like you get the system, you get it done. Maybe you just work harder. I don’t know people just don’t work hard anymore.

Cody Smolka (02:13) They don’t they really don’t and I was like there’s gotta be a way this is, this isn’t foolproof. Like there’s a way to do this. And so, I finally figured it out and I was like, do I press revalidation? Do I press this? And, and yeah, it was there the whole time, just yeah, right there. So that’s great.

Shannon Costine (02:33) That’s great news. I did want to tell you have, and I think we talked about this the last time you have about 38 that’s like way overdue 150 plus. So I sent that to the team yesterday to work on, but it’s again, some of the ones that we talked about, the superior healthcares, the tricare west… one Molina, I think you said you were still having issues with. So I’m definitely going to have them dig into that. And then the other one, I wasn’t sure. Did we talk about astrona health the last time we?

Cody Smolka (03:04) Did they said that it has to go through another network? And so I told them just to close all the lines for now that were still pending that they weren’t I mean, but I think, they’re still there. But for Molina, I’m glad you brought it up. When I get back to the office tomorrow, I have three letters that came in the mail from Molina or two letters that came in the mail from Molina saying we’re happy you applied for Molina, you know, to credential this nurse practitioner, please submit your application through caqh.

Cody Smolka (03:38) Well, I’ve never submitted. I’ve never submitted an application to a payer through caqh. It makes no sense at all. It’s not like you can go into. The only thing you can do is log into caqh and approve the payer to access the caqh profile, but you can’t send them an application through caqh. I’ve never seen that as an option but I’ll scan you the letter because it was really confusing to me. Okay? But I was like, if Molina wants something from us, I’m like I definitely want us to get it to them, but I don’t know how to do it this way with these instructions and whatever. And it’s not like they say do it in caqh and here’s how you do it. It just says do it.

Shannon Costine (04:16) Oh my God. Yeah. Send it to me because honestly, I’m intrigued at this point.

Cody Smolka (04:21) Yeah, I was like, I’m going to ask Shannon about this because this is just odd. And so I put it on the top of my desk so it would be there when I got back. I meant to scan it before I left yesterday afternoon and I didn’t and you just saying it reminded me that I left it on the top of my desk. So, yeah, I will scan that to you tomorrow morning. Okay? And we’ll see what happens with that one for.

Shannon Costine (04:44) superior. You said you’re still having issues with Texas medicaid? Now, let me be honest. I’ve seen a lot of places Texas medicaid. I don’t know what they’re doing over there. Well?

Cody Smolka (04:55) We didn’t have medicaid at all. So when those applications started going through, they were like you need medicaid, you need medicaid. I got my medicaid, December first… and it was, I got my medicaid right after probably right after those applications started going out and stuff. But then it was once the group had medicaid, I had to get all the providers linked. So since December first up until I don’t know last month, I’ve been able to get most of the providers linked to our group. They’re still like Frank is still pending. Anne is still pending oig review. But like Ariel and Avneet and some of the others, they’ve all gone through and I’ve updated their profiles and I went into the lines and I said, you know, this provider is now linked, please resume this line or, whatever. But I can send you a screenshot of who has medicaid and those are the providers that we should and could be focusing on.

Shannon Costine (05:58) Yeah. Can you do that whenever? And I’m going to push them? I’ve got Shanda, Frank, Ariel, Amanda, and Valerie on the overdue list.

Cody Smolka (06:08) And honestly, I think those are the ones that have already had medicaid approved. Okay? Except Frank, yeah, not Frank. His is still pending oig review. And.

Shannon Costine (06:17) What I’ll do is go in and look at those specifically today and have them follow up on it and move on it. And then you send me a list as well. We’ll just compare.

Cody Smolka (06:27) Okay. Yeah, I’ll send that over to you. Okay?

Shannon Costine (06:31) Perfect. That was basically what I had today. I know you said you need to go. So if you need anything, don’t hesitate to email me or reach out.

Cody Smolka (06:41) I will, I hope you enjoy your conference. Well, thank you. Yeah, I just pulled up and I’m trying now, I got to find parking. I got to get my wagon out and drag all my shit in there.

Shannon Costine (06:52) Well, you go and do that and have fun and call me if you need anything.

Cody Smolka (06:57) Okay. I’ll talk to you soon. Thanks.

Shannon Costine (06:59) Cody. Bye.

Cody Smolka (07:00) Bye.
