David Zeman (00:00) hey, how are you? I’m.
Stephanie Ryan (00:01) good. How are you?
David Zeman (00:03) I am good. Sorry, I’m just in the car. Oh, you’re fine for the holiday? How?
Stephanie Ryan (00:11) Are you?
David Zeman (00:12) How are things?
Stephanie Ryan (00:14) Things are good. I know we connected… last week and the takeaway from that conversation was you were having some conversations internally about the payor enrollment piece of the partnership I got back to you yesterday with what the contract would look like, assuming all quantities stay the same and pricing stays the same on.
David Zeman (00:39) What.
Stephanie Ryan (00:41) that contract would look like at renewal time. So I just wanted to connect with you and see how your conversations internally were progressing. And then my,
David Zeman (00:54) top line for.
Stephanie Ryan (00:55) Me too real quick is just, I have not forgotten about getting time with Nate and you together. Our new coo, I’m just wanting to make sure that the timing is right there too.
David Zeman (01:05) Yeah, totally. So again, I understand he’s probably inundated. So whenever we can get that on great, you know, regardless of the PE stuff, I’m not going anywhere. I’m very pleased with the platform from a credentialing standpoint, and we’re going to want to continue to operationalize that part of our program with you guys as we head into delegated status. So, you know, so that’s not an issue as it relates to enrollment. I have had some conversations internally and, you know, as expected, you know, everyone kind of agrees that for the time, you know, being it just doesn’t seem to be working, I can’t just get that stained quality level that we need to responsibly continue to invest on that side. And so, I think what you said makes sense to me and, you know, whether it’s pass through fees or the renewal, you know, in the new year, you know, for the credit that totally jives on my end. And then, you know, again, if we can demonstrate that, you know, real improvement and process changes have occurred to reasonably… commit to a better sustained level of quality, I’m never opposed to like looking back and retrying something. But, you know, as it stands today, we just haven’t been able to hit the numbers that I can stand behind.
Stephanie Ryan (02:50) Absolutely. I hear you there. And I appreciate your openness to revisiting a conversation later on. Of course, we want to make sure that it’s the right time when we do that. And we appreciate that you are wanting to continue to partner with us on the credentialing side. I think, I know that we’ve shown and proven our value there. And I’m hopeful that we can get there with payer enrollment at some point, but I just don’t want to continue to swirl over what’s not working well from a PE perspective. Has the team? Yes, go ahead? I.
David Zeman (03:24) have not discussed this with the team. So like for Ken, Marna, Deanna, that’s not been the level I’ve brought this down to. I don’t really, I didn’t need to ask their feedback because I knew what it would be. But what I would say kind of as a forward looking thing is I anticipate changes relative to our team regardless of, you know, whether we stayed on with you or not. And perhaps with change in leadership and kind of new thinking around that, there’s an opportunity there to not only reconsider this engagement, but if we do kind of try to come back in the fold like rethink the enta process because I probably assume that some of the issues are related to the way, you know, our group is operating and wants to function in this world and it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right way. It’s just, it’s the way things have been done here. And, you know, at least for our, on our side, it was, you know, the commitment that we were given was like, yeah, we can work within that project plan parameter. But again, you know, maybe there’s change and evolution over time with different personnel.
Stephanie Ryan (04:54) Absolutely. I’m completely aligned there from a timing perspective, assuming that we’re moving forward with the 75 K credit and the 75 K refund. What does that look like on your side? I know it sounds like this hasn’t been communicated broadly. So want to be sensitive.
David Zeman (05:13) Yes. Yeah. Totally. What I would say is perhaps next week I’ll gather the team inform them that we’re making a change and identify the changeover date because that’s when they need to stop issuing any requests. And then maybe before then, what would be helpful for me to understand is any kind of outstanding or like active requests that are currently in the environment… like how do we resolve those? Do we hand those back to my team for ownership? Do you close those out? You know, whatever the cleanest way to do? Yeah, I’ll speak to them to get their input. I want to make it clean for you. I want to make it clean for us. You know, there’s no need to like create more challenge where there doesn’t need to be okay.
Stephanie Ryan (06:19) And when I think through, when I think through customers who off board, we typically tell them like we will continue to follow up on enrollments for 30 days that are in process.
David Zeman (06:33) Okay. So.
Stephanie Ryan (06:35) I think we can probably take that same approach. I can confirm with my team. But if it’s preferred that like we just stop all work right away, like I think that that’s an option too and we can assign… those lines or applications back to your team. So it would be an ent owned enrollment.
David Zeman (06:56) Yeah. Okay. Yeah. All right. So let’s we’ll figure that out. I will look to get that meeting on early… next week and then aim to follow up with you after. Okay. And then from like a cost like an accounting standpoint, we’ll just figure out the logistics there.
Stephanie Ryan (07:16) Yes, I’ll give the update to my team and I’ll ask them, you know, assuming that we stop everything by the end of next week, like communication is made, like we’ve made final decisions when you can expect the credit to be applied. And when you would expect to see that refund as well.
David Zeman (07:37) Okay. And.
Stephanie Ryan (07:39) then I will circle back with you. And then you just let me know once the communication has happened with your team and we can start making sure that we’re closing things out and that the communication has been done to my team as well.
David Zeman (07:53) Okay. Yeah. And then, you know, like I said, I’m not going anywhere and, you know, I’m not sure if Derek wants to chat or anything like that. I’m always happy to, but I assume he’s been brought up to speed.
Stephanie Ryan (08:05) Yes, he’s very much. So in the loop here, Nate has been brought up to speed as well. I know he will be very eager to speak with you and just hear your feedback as well. So we will get that scheduled. And then moving forward, I know we’re still going to be partnering from a credentialing standpoint. We’ve been pretty in the weeds since I took over. Does it still make sense to meet weekly or do we want to draw that back? I.
David Zeman (08:37) think we could probably draw that back because there won’t be as much of a need to have such close communication. I will say that as of like may, we’ll be at our 12 month milestone on credentialing committee activity. And so we will then be reaching out to the payr partners around setting up delegated contracts. And we’ll definitely want to work with you on that piece. So, you know, maybe once we get closer to may, we may need to increase the cadence.
Stephanie Ryan (09:10) Okay. And can I ask you, and sorry, I’m newer to the partnership and I haven’t been joining the operations from a credentialing perspective. I imagine Lee is still going to be on your account, serving as your operations point of contact. Okay? Would she still be working with Deanna in that capacity for cred or is there a different subset of folks?
David Zeman (09:34) So, yeah, Deanna definitely helps on the files side of things. So her and her team attend the creds meetings. They’re the ones responsible for taking minutes, and they’re ultimately the ones in system moving files to the committee for approval. So she would still be that point of contact.
Stephanie Ryan (09:58) Okay, perfect. I will give that insight into, to my team as well… just to let them know that our contacts won’t be changing from a day to day perspective, but it will be limited to just the credentialing piece going forward.
David Zeman (10:15) Great. All right. Okay.
Stephanie Ryan (10:17) Well, that sounds good. Keep me updated next week. I think we have time next Thursday so we can connect live if needed. And as soon as I get the a, OK from you, we’ll start communicating on our end as well.
David Zeman (10:31) All right, great. Appreciate it. Yeah.
Stephanie Ryan (10:33) No problem. Thank you. Good luck with your travels this weekend and we’ll connect next week.
David Zeman (10:39) Thanks so much. Take care.
Stephanie Ryan (10:40) Bye.
