Michael Gonzales (00:00) this is Mike.
Ellington Loy (00:03) Hello?
Michael Gonzales (00:04) And he has Mike.
Ellington Loy (00:06) Hey, Mike, this is Ellington from medallion. My colleague Bijan sent over a March madness kit that should have arrived last week. Have you been able to receive it yet?
Michael Gonzales (00:17) Where’d you send it?
Ellington Loy (00:19) I believe to headquarters location. Okay?
Michael Gonzales (00:22) Okay. Now, I’ve been traveling the last two weeks, so it might be sitting on my desk.
Ellington Loy (00:29) Oh, gotcha. Yeah. Well, hopefully you can get it when you get back in office.
Michael Gonzales (00:33) Excellent. That’ll be great.
Ellington Loy (00:36) Yeah. Does medallion ring a bell by chance?
Michael Gonzales (00:39) Does not? No.
Ellington Loy (00:41) Okay. Yeah. Just for some context, we work with healthcare organizations to streamline credentialing and payer enrollment so providers can get network start generating revenue faster.
Michael Gonzales (00:49) Okay.
Ellington Loy (00:53) I’m curious if y’all, have looked into optimizing these processes in order to have clinicians seeing patients as fast as possible.
Michael Gonzales (01:03) We have a centralized internal credentialing just to give you some background. We have about 2000 doctors. We have a team that we operate in about 14 states and all of our credentialing is actually done in house in a shared services department.
Ellington Loy (01:09) Wow. Thank you.
Ellington Loy (01:17) Gotcha. Okay. Do you know what turnaround times you are seeing? That is a lot of providers? Wow.
Michael Gonzales (01:25) I mean, to give you an idea. I think we today run less than a day on the job for credentialing. And so, we’ve got it on rails. I mean, we have no drag. No revenue cycle holds while we’re waiting for final credentialing?
Ellington Loy (01:48) Gotcha. So, do y’all, have like automation in your process? Is that how you’re able to get such fast turnaround times?
Michael Gonzales (01:54) Yeah. I forget the name of the software we use, but we use a tool.
Ellington Loy (02:00) Hello?
Michael Gonzales (02:00) And natch. It internally.
Ellington Loy (02:04) Gotcha. Yeah, medallion’s very similar. We automate a lot of the process. Our credentialing average is about a day as well. And then we’re seeing some timelines as low as 30 days as far as getting providers enrolled and just really accelerating so much revenue for a lot of the customers that came to us were experiencing like 90 days till providers were enrolled with health plans. It was really just dragging revenue along. So, yeah.
Michael Gonzales (02:32) That’s crazy. Yeah, I know bill holes today, don’t exist. I mean, that’s sort of, our marker for success. Like we’ve got zero dollars sitting in bill holes because we’re waiting for enrollment.
Ellington Loy (02:39) Right. Yeah. Huh.
Ellington Loy (02:49) Gotcha. No, and that makes sense. And I’m happy to hear that y’all have a great process if it ever makes sense to, you know, see, learn more about medallion and what we’re doing. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I would love to get you on a call but I hope that you’re able to get that March madness kit when you got back in office?
Michael Gonzales (03:13) I appreciate that. Have a wonderful Easter.
Ellington Loy (03:16) You too bye.
