Delaney Crowe (00:00) hello, you’re muted. Can you hear me okay?

Julio Avael (00:20) Yes, I can. How are you? Oh.

Delaney Crowe (00:22) I’m good. Thanks. How are you? Doing? Well, forgive?

Julio Avael (00:25) The video I’m offline? You?

Delaney Crowe (00:28) Are all good. No worries at all. And remind me because the invite came through, I think as just provider enrollment. What is your, what’s your name?

Julio Avael (00:40) My name is dr avial.

Delaney Crowe (00:42) Dr. Avial. Okay. Hi, I’m Delaney, it’s nice to meet you. Well, I’ll just kick us off because I know we only have a few minutes here, but I’m on the partnerships team over here at medallion. So essentially, I surface any website inquiries that come in. So that really just gives us 10, 15 minutes today to walk through, you know, what you’re looking for, and really determine if medallion can solve for that. And the goal would be to potentially get you to a next step, if we align, but if not, no worries at all. So I’ll just let, you start out and maybe give me a little bit of background on why you’re reaching out to medallion.

Julio Avael (01:22) Yeah, sure. So, we are a fairly large mso management service organization. Our focus is specifically in two main areas. One is mental health, both for pediatric and for veterans, and also for spinal, for a group of spinal clinics that we manage as well. Now, with, the volume that we’re doing, we’re starting to outgrow some of the current systems. We have to keep up with the credentialing of all of our providers attached to the various different groups that are within our network. So we’re looking for a solution that could help us keep that organized that can offer an easy onboarding solution for our providers and allow us to, you know, to speed up the time of paneling our providers with the various different hmo ppo, and subsidized medicaid, managed care health plans.

Delaney Crowe (02:22) Got it. Okay. Totally makes sense. So, it sounds like you’re growing rapidly, you have quite a few different providers and different types of providers. And the credentialing process of it all is becoming a headache. Is that kind of in a nutshell?

Julio Avael (02:37) That is it. Okay?

Delaney Crowe (02:38) It makes, that makes sense that’s often why I’m having these conversations with people. Because yeah same same situation, just a couple of follow up questions just so I can better understand how many providers do you currently work with?

Julio Avael (02:53) We have 115. Okay?

Delaney Crowe (02:56) And are those like across all different types? I know you mentioned like.

Julio Avael (03:00) Yeah, very, yeah. Well, we have 115 in mental health.

Julio Avael (03:03) We’re adding another 256, and then we’re we’ll probably add another 20 in pain management, which would include internists, anesthesiologists, nurse practitioners.

Delaney Crowe (03:17) Okay. Yeah. So growing rapidly, it sounds like and then are, is this across like different states or are you just operating in one state or?

Julio Avael (03:27) 28 different states?

Delaney Crowe (03:29) Okay. Across.

Julio Avael (03:30) Multiple different groups group?

Delaney Crowe (03:32) Practices. Okay. And as far as like payers or insurance goes, do you have an idea about how many payers you’re working with?

Julio Avael (03:43) We’re working with every medicaid managed care plan in the 28 states. So let’s just say that each state has at least on average six. All right. Some of the payers are the same, but it doesn’t it’s the same company, but it doesn’t matter since each state has its own rules. And then of course, for our pain management specialty, you have the tricare, the humanez and then of course, the hmos, ppos, and so across the board, let’s… just do some simple math. You know, I’ll just give you an estimate. Yeah… probably about 180 different health plans, okay?

Delaney Crowe (04:27) That makes sense. And are you guys currently using a software now, or is there a team of people who manage this or what does it look like as it goes right now?

Julio Avael (04:37) Yes. So, we use a centrix based platform. I don’t know if you’re familiar with podio.

Delaney Crowe (04:44) Yes. Yeah. Okay.

Julio Avael (04:45) So, we’ve built out a customized platform in podio. It does a really good job tracking where everyone is, but we need to move to a place where it’s… not as manualized even though we built out a lot of different automations. And from the sounds of, it sounds like you guys are api’d and integrated with a lot of the different health plans, the caqh, you know, platform as well. And we have a team of just on credentialing, we have a team of around half 12. Okay.

Delaney Crowe (05:26) Yeah, that totally makes sense. So, it sounds like modio’s working at some capacity, but you’re really maybe looking for something a little bit more less manual less, you have to be in the weeds and maybe more outsourced.

Julio Avael (05:39) Yes. Yeah. We, I want to be able to look in, I want to be able to look at a dashboard to know exactly, you know, where are my providers in terms of, you know, where are they? In terms of enrolling into our network? Where are they? In terms of their credentialing with the various different group practices and the various different health plans?

Delaney Crowe (05:57) Okay. Got it. Well. Thank you. I appreciate all the background. That definitely helps just to make sure you know, that. Yeah, it makes sense for you and for us as well too. It sounds like.

Julio Avael (06:12) Let me add one. Sorry to.

Delaney Crowe (06:13) Yeah, no, go ahead and.

Julio Avael (06:14) We want the platform and I believe your platform does this because I watched some of your demo videos that allows our providers to sign in and see exactly where they are as well. So we don’t have to have the constant emails of going back and forth of where they are, what their status is in our network.

Delaney Crowe (06:31) Got it. Okay. It sounds like you did your homework on medallion as well, too. So you have a good idea of what we do. And I definitely think it makes sense for you to have maybe a deeper dive demo specific or just a next call with one of our medallion experts who can kind of go into a little bit more of the weeds with you of what this would look like for your. Org. It sounds like this is an active project as well too. How quickly are you looking to get something up and running?

Julio Avael (07:01) Yeah. So, our business season starts in September. We are, we are essentially coming towards the end of this business cycle which gives us a, you know, a road map.

Julio Avael (07:16) Excuse me, gives me a runway of the… remainder of this month, may June to test demo internally and service training. And then we want to be live by July. Okay?

Delaney Crowe (07:33) Yeah, that sounds great. Well, I’ve got my calendar up here. Now. Just schedule the next like a 30 minute call with one of my account executives and they, yeah, again be able to, you know, go into more of what this would look like for you integrations, pay or, you know, all the, all those details. And then after that, it would be a like a very tailored demo, to you all in your company. How I mean, I have availability this week. Does either Thursday or Friday look good on your end or you tell me and I can be?

Julio Avael (08:08) Let’s I… can move this. How does 11 a M Eastern Standard Time work for you on Thursday?

Delaney Crowe (08:22) Let me double check the colleague I was going to connect you with is normally pacific, but I think that she’s actually central now. So I think that should just be fine. But let me double check 11… a. M on Thursday.

Julio Avael (09:00) I can do one PM eastern standard on we’re talking about Thursday. Okay?

Delaney Crowe (09:07) Sounds like Thursday is good. Yeah. Let me look at her calendar and then either 11 a M or what was the second availability? No?

Julio Avael (09:20) I can move. I can move things around. I have a, I do have an appointment that I cannot move around at 12 30 P. M. I’m available all day except.

Julio Avael (09:39) Is Friday work better for your associate?

Delaney Crowe (09:42) Let me see how Friday looks for her.

Delaney Crowe (09:53) Oh, you know what? She just got back to me and she said yes, so, I will send you a calendar invite for right now for 11 a. M, eastern on Thursday eastern.

Julio Avael (10:02) Thursday. Let me move my day around, perfect. Excellent.

Julio Avael (10:17) Let me look for that invite to come in. Are you in California as well or?

Delaney Crowe (10:26) I’m in, no, I’m in Oregon.

Julio Avael (10:28) Okay. You’re in Oregon all?

Delaney Crowe (10:30) Right. Yeah. Where are you? I didn’t even ask.

Julio Avael (10:32) I’m in Miami, Florida.

Delaney Crowe (10:34) Okay. Very nice. Oh, gosh. I’m jealous. I mean, I’m actually from California. So I’m used to San Diego, 70 degree weather. Normally… I have moved so. Okay. And then is the email that the provider enrollment at sbe, that’s a good one for you? Yeah, yeah.

Julio Avael (10:57) It’s a sharing email.

Delaney Crowe (11:00) Okay, perfect. Let me.

Delaney Crowe (11:09) Did you get it on your end? Okay?

Julio Avael (11:12) Yeah, let’s see.

Delaney Crowe (11:15) It might take a minute.

Delaney Crowe (11:45) It’ll be from it’ll. Be from like a scheduling link, so it might look a little bit different, but it looks, yeah, you got it. You got it. Okay. Amazing. Perfect. Okay. Great. Well, if anything comes up in the meantime, definitely feel free to reach out to me but other than that, looking forward to chatting then?

Julio Avael (12:03) All right. Delaney, you’ve been great. Thank you so much. Enjoy the weather out there.

Delaney Crowe (12:07) Thank you. Have a good one. Likewise, bye.
