Mira Guha (00:00) hi, Dena. How are you? I think you’re on mute by the way?

Dena Hiscock (00:12) I am good. How are you? I’m sorry, I couldn’t get my mouse over there.

Mira Guha (00:16) You’re fine. I’m doing well, good. I’m just looking outside. I’m in my kitchen and it looks like we might get some rain. We’re in a drought here in Denver. So, I’m really praying we get some rain. So we’re gonna see.

Dena Hiscock (00:31) I hope you do when’s your wedding.

Mira Guha (00:33) April thirtieth, three weeks from today, is your?

Dena Hiscock (00:35) Wedding soon or not? Oh, congratulations.

Mira Guha (00:39) Thank you, amazing and terrifying, you know?

Dena Hiscock (00:44) Yeah, my daughter’s planning her wedding right now and there’s a lot to it isn’t there?

Mira Guha (00:49) There is congrats to your family that’s gotta be exciting.

Dena Hiscock (00:54) It’s exciting. I just, it’s changed a lot since I got married back in the day.

Mira Guha (00:58) My parents keep telling me the same thing. They’re like this didn’t used to, you didn’t have to think about this. You didn’t have to spend this. I’m like, yeah, well.

Dena Hiscock (01:07) I know it’s ridiculous, the amount that things cost nowadays.

Mira Guha (01:11) We are, there are kind of fun ways to get creative if you’re willing to. But one of the, I mean, one of the things we’re doing is getting married on a Thursday, that alone is saving us so much money and we just gave people tons of notice to try to make it happen, right? My.

Dena Hiscock (01:25) Daughter’s doing hers on a Friday because the venue’s half price. So it’s like why, you know, why not do it that way? But I was looking into the photo booth and it’s like 600 dollars for the photo booth. I told my one daughter I’m like, do you want to just do this as a job? Because I’ll just buy it.

Mira Guha (01:41) Just get like a camera, a phone with a selfie stick like with a stand and just make a little wallpaper, you know, none.

Dena Hiscock (01:49) Of our phones have good storage.

Mira Guha (01:51) Well, there are ways around that. Yeah, because we’re doing April thirtieth prices skyrocket starting in may. So, last day of April, we’re saving some money that’s a good.

Dena Hiscock (02:01) Idea. Yeah.

Mira Guha (02:03) We did what we could. I’m guessing Ed’s going to want to be here. Another big ticket item today is the contract renewal stuff?

Dena Hiscock (02:13) It doesn’t come on soon. I can reach out. Let me see if I can reach.

Mira Guha (02:17) Out, no worries. We can definitely give him a little more time… when’s your daughter’s wedding.

Dena Hiscock (02:24) February 20 sixth of next year.

Mira Guha (02:26) Okay. You have some time. I’ve.

Dena Hiscock (02:28) already got all the florals bought. We’re doing the fake flowers. I’ve just been going on marketplace and I think I’ve got pretty much all of that.

Mira Guha (02:37) Yeah. We’re doing like 50 50, yeah, fresh and flush. Yeah, I’ve heard some people spend so much money on fresh and I wanted a couple, but like, yeah, we have boxes of faux flowers upstairs. It’s a good way to do it February, where’s the wedding.

Dena Hiscock (02:57) It’s at an old mansion. It’s called the club continental in orange park, Florida. It’s the old palmolive estate, old palmolive mansion estate.

Mira Guha (03:07) That sounds beautiful. And I bet.

Dena Hiscock (03:08) February is also. And now it’s like kind of a country club.

Mira Guha (03:11) Oh, cool.

Dena Hiscock (03:12) It’s cool. Yeah. My parents had a similar, how about yours?

Mira Guha (03:18) We’re getting married. Sorry. I think there’s a lag. We’re getting married outside right next to boulder creek. So, boulder, Colorado. Beautiful. We’re doing a wedgwood location because we wanted as inclusive as we could do while saving some money and not having to rent chairs and stuff. We’re like,

Dena Hiscock (03:35) well, oh, yeah. That’s what we’re doing because we were looking at outside, but I’m like it’s going to be the same amount because you’ve got to rent a tent, we have to rent chairs. We have to have it catered. You have to get silverware, napkins. All of those things you don’t think about.

Mira Guha (03:48) Yeah. And then you still have to coordinate all of it.

Dena Hiscock (03:52) Right. Well, she’s going to get a day up coordinator, I think just because I told her that I’ll take all the pressure off. That way there’s not going to be any family drama or nobody’s going to be ticked at me. If I’m you know, then no family members have to be bossy and then rub somebody the wrong way. You know what I mean?

Mira Guha (04:10) Yeah, we thankfully get one.

Dena Hiscock (04:12) Somebody said to me, whatever you do get a planner that’ll save your life.

Mira Guha (04:17) I’m so grateful honestly. Our photographer is kind of taking on that role too because she just has so much experience in this industry. And even with the venue and she’s also someone I went to elementary middle high school with. So it just works really nicely. Yeah. Well.

Dena Hiscock (04:37) I hope you don’t have the letdown you know, how some people have the letdown after it’s all over like you spent a year planning it. And then you’re like now, what do I do?

Mira Guha (04:44) We might, we’re making it a whole weekend though because we have the wedding Thursday. And then I’m half Indian, we’re doing a hindu celebration two days later, hindu ceremony. So like Thursday through Sunday is going to be like everyone’s still here and having a party. Oh, that’s going.

Dena Hiscock (05:01) To be great. Yeah, we’re staying. We’re going to be staying. They rent rooms out at the mansion. It’s like a bed and breakfast too. So we’re going to rent the rooms out and they are going to do that because they wanted to have somewhere to celebrate their anniversary every year. They thought that would be kind of fun.

Mira Guha (05:18) That’s cute. Isn’t it? That’s really sweet. That’s also convenient. We went to a gorgeous wedding a few years ago in the catskills, that was like that. And it was just this beautiful mansion with like little ponds and stuff outside great for pictures. And the ceremony was outside. It was awesome.

Dena Hiscock (05:33) I think it’ll be cute. I think it’ll be nice. It’s a beautiful location. I’ve been taking my girls there since they were like four and five to the pool. They had a few pools there and we would go because we didn’t belong to the rich neighborhood where they had all the inclusive pools. So we went to the older Florida pools where no other kids would go. It’s like all the older people hanging out, so they have some good memories there.

Mira Guha (06:00) That’s the nicest part is when it means something to at least one of the people because my fiance is a transplant, but I think he’ll appreciate it. He loves boulder.

Dena Hiscock (06:10) Colorado is gorgeous. You’re going to love it. It’s going to be beautiful. I don’t know where everybody is. I’m sorry?

Mira Guha (06:17) There’s so many people in all different places. Yeah, we have people flying in from all over the place.

Dena Hiscock (06:22) How many people are going to be at your wedding? Do you?

Mira Guha (06:26) Everyone including us combined is about 64. So not huge but not tiny. I think like kind of a good size.

Dena Hiscock (06:33) Great size.

Mira Guha (06:34) Yeah. We originally invited like we were expecting about 80, but things change. People can’t make it. So, I.

Dena Hiscock (06:41) know. She said, I think she was doing 100, but then they say what? 80 percent show up? Probably about 80 percent.

Mira Guha (06:49) Right. Sometimes less, we had a bunch of people who were like we just had our radiator blow up and we’re going to be focusing on paying for that for a while. So we’re not going to be able to make it. It’s like a lot of stuff like.

Dena Hiscock (06:59) That, yeah, it.

Mira Guha (07:01) Happens. But I hope your daughter has all the important that’s what matters is the important people will be there that day.

Dena Hiscock (07:08) Well, she said if I just have my important people, it’ll only be like 16, but her fiancé is got a lot of friends and he’s wanting a big shindig, but she says, I don’t think he understands that we don’t have that money for a big shindig. So she’s like he’s kind of finding out what it’s going to cost. It’s a lot of money. It’s almost like 100 dollars a person when you figure out all the alcohol and the food and everything. Yeah… I’ve.

Mira Guha (07:37) talked to a lot of people getting married this year who are finding creative solutions for that. Just like renting a big space and then catering like a pizza truck or their engagement party is a booze party where everyone brings whatever they want to drink as the gift, and then that’s what they serve on the wedding day. People are getting really smart about this to keep it very affordable.

Dena Hiscock (07:59) Well, we don’t have any outside alcohol, which is unfortunate because the fiance has a friend that I think he works for like some smirnoff vodka and he can get all of the alcohol for us. But the venue said we can’t bring any outside alcohol. I think that’s okay.

Mira Guha (08:20) Unfortunate, I understand why, but yeah, that would save you a good chunk of cash there.

Dena Hiscock (08:27) Oh, well, I think, you know what they say? There’s only two times in your life where you have a big party and people show up and that is your wedding. The other one you won’t be around for. So enjoy your wedding as they say.

Mira Guha (08:40) Yes, that’s what I’m trying to do. I’m like any drama that’s happening, someone else will deal with it. Please are focused on the goal for today. I can shoot, add a message if we need to reschedule. We can definitely do that. I just know we’re kind of being time sensitive about, you know, I think we have about a month before it needs to be signed, but I know there’s some major concerns about the total kind of pricing piece here. So just wanted to make sure, right?

Dena Hiscock (09:05) And I don’t have any financial decision making powers. I’m sorry, no.

Mira Guha (09:09) Worries. I totally get that. I’m kind of the same way at the end of the day because I can hear you out. But ultimately, whoever decides changes in rates that’s as I say, the people who make more money than me, get to decide where we get to reduce and change things. So, and,

Dena Hiscock (09:25) I’m happy about that.

Mira Guha (09:26) You’re right? I love to advocate for people, but, you know, yeah.

Dena Hiscock (09:31) They get to make the calls. So, let me see. I don’t know where he’s at. Let me look, we.

Mira Guha (09:34) Can definitely give him a little bit more time here. No worries. And I can still.

Dena Hiscock (09:37) Let me just see here. I’ll ask him perfect.

Mira Guha (09:40) I put together some of the other stuff we usually cover on like the executive business review. So if we don’t have time to cover that, I can still send it over so you have it, but I can also kind of give you the cliff notes and then y’all can kind of review it and we can find time next week.

Dena Hiscock (09:59) Okay. I’m sending him a little… I’m trying to send him a message, but I don’t know if he’s he looks like he… he’s showing red, but that’s because he’s showing supposed to be in our meeting.

Mira Guha (10:17) I know how that is, it’s like our slack that says in a meeting?

Dena Hiscock (10:30) Well, I don’t know. Okay, let’s see. Okay, we can.

Mira Guha (10:35) Get.

Dena Hiscock (10:35) Him. Okay? I’ve sent him messages, but I haven’t heard anything. April thirtieth coming right up. Oh, my gosh. I’m so excited for you. You. Yeah.

Mira Guha (10:47) A lot of a lot of little things. A lot of the big stuff is done. I think it will be really gorgeous and my fiance will be wearing a kilt. He is very Scottish. So like he keeps making jokes that his dress was more expensive than mine.

Dena Hiscock (11:01) Because he has like expensive.

Mira Guha (11:03) Yeah. With the imported handmade wool, from scotland, it was not cheap, but he was like, this is going to be mine forever. This is the one time I’m going to splurge on one. I said go for it. So.

Dena Hiscock (11:14) Do you guys have any bagpipes?

Mira Guha (11:18) I don’t think so. He actually hates bagpipes not currently, his dad was a professional Scottish drummer for a long time. So they always had like pipers and stuff in their house. And he was like, I couldn’t wait to leave that house and not have to.

Dena Hiscock (11:33) Okay. Ed told me he said tied up in a meeting likely need to reschedule. Not sure how much longer I’m needed in this one. I’m so sorry, no.

Mira Guha (11:43) Worries. I’ll go ahead and I’ll send over this information. I’ll breeze through it with you real quick in case it’s helpful, just like the context if you chat with him.

Mira Guha (11:52) So, yeah, and I’ll just reiterate it in my email. So totally understand, there’s some concerns on pricing. We would love to find a way to move forward. It’s not like we’re not willing to make changes to pricing. The current rates we have in there are just based on the current volumes that we have and how our kind of pricing model works. Any discounts we do are based on bulk commitments. So like 150 usually maybe means more advantageous pricing than 50. I know we sent over a version. I’ll show it in just a second. So the biggest thing as far as next steps is we want to see what we can do here. We just need to confirm like are these volumes that we put in here because we used our estimates to put it together. Like do you think that’s actually where we want to be? Do we want to adjust up or down on any providers or licensing? Anything like that? It would be kind of helpful to know like if you weren’t going to use us, are you planning to like take the work in house or are you talking to other vendors? If you’re willing to share that? So this is what we currently have in the addendum proposal out to you. We do require multi year. So we just have a two year here. We factored in just based on current trends, number of providers you have, most folks see some sort of growth. Sorry, this should say 100. So I’ll fix it before I send it out to you. So if you can let us know like, yep, this is the number that we want for both year one and two. Or hey, actually, can we make year 160 providers or 200 providers? That gives our team an idea of where we are and lets us know how much we can play around with the pricing if you have any like absolute budgetary constraints, like we can’t go over X number of dollars. I can see how that affects what we’re able to do for you. But it’s ultimately going to be our like account management and financial leadership who will review the numbers you send us so that we can then give you an updated quote. So that’s kind of the end of the day, just what we need next. I also just wanted to flag right now, we kind of right sized this current contract pretty well with the addendum we did, you have about 3,500? Dollars remaining to get you through may seventh. There’s about 3,300 dollars queued up to get used based on some licenses that we’re expecting. There’s a chance we’ll go a little bit over, in which case, we’ll just invoice the difference, but hopefully not much if at all. So, I did just want to let you know that’s where we stand today, the rest of the information I have, sorry, go ahead, no.

Dena Hiscock (14:23) I’m listening good. Okay. Did you get the, Laura davis? Is she being put in for any licensing right now? Because I think she just termed today. I don’t know if we need to stop anything.

Mira Guha (14:33) There, it looks like the only ones we have queued up are for David Kessler. Laura pongs, and David Kessler. You can find this in medallion. It’s under a section called upcoming consumption here. I’ll just show you real quick. Okay. So, you know, exactly where to find this going forward. Let me get in platform here. Gives me a second for it to load but we are looking very close and then this is just a screenshot of the, like what the actual proposal we have in front of you. Looks like. I don’t know if you have access to view it. You know, I can definitely give you access. If that’s helpful. It will still be the signer. I think, okay, let me hop out of here. So you can just track this information if you go into your account, and then you go to this account tab and then usage, this will show you how many dollars are in the contract when the contract ends year one versus year two, and then the upcoming consumptions at the bottom, this updates. Okay. This is pretty live. It updates like every day with any big changes. And then anything in upcoming consumption will show here. It should say who the provider is. And I put this deck together for our call Tuesday. I haven’t updated it since so we might be a little higher now if you want us to stop anything, just let our team know support. They will stop a request. So it doesn’t get used against your contract. But a lot of helpful information on like you can even filter like how many new state licenses did we? It’s supposed to pop up here. I guess the platform doesn’t want to work for me or we just haven’t had any licenses in the last seven days. It’ll show you where the consumption’s been happening. You can filter like last seven months instead. And then you can export reports. So just a super helpful interactive dashboard to kind of get a sense of where things are getting used up. So yeah, we basically haven’t used much. It’s just the software right now, but that’s where you can track that information. Everything else I have in here today. And I’ll give you time back because I know Ed’s going to, you know, follow up on the renewal stuff. Just did an overview of where we are, general performance metrics, turnaround times. A lot of this is in platform for you too, but just some highlights. So you kind of know where we are compared to the last time we met. Just kind of how we’re trending, not seeing quite as much licensing this year as last year, last time we met upcoming expiration. Of licenses, how tasking is looking. Whenever we ask your team for stuff… I don’t know if we want to do the priority alignment and feedback today.

Mira Guha (17:00) I’m happy to like chat with you about what’s going well, what’s not anything we should be aware of going forward or we can save that for our next call totally up to you if you’d like to. Probably.

Dena Hiscock (17:09) For the next call just because Loretta, Loretta’s the one that does all the credentialing, Loretta and norkita. And then I mostly just do rostering. So I’m not really okay.

Mira Guha (17:17) I’m not really involved in.

Dena Hiscock (17:19) The medallion stuff. So too much.

Mira Guha (17:21) No problem. Okay. Sorry about that. No worries. I’ll send this over important timeline stuff. Y’all know I’m going to be out at the end of April. There’ll be someone covering for me. Hopefully we’ll have stuff figured out before then, but I’ll go ahead and send all this over with like the summary, let me know if you have any questions, and hopefully Ed is able to find some time and we can chat next week.

Dena Hiscock (17:41) All right. Talk to you soon. Have a great weekend.

Mira Guha (17:43) Thanks, you too. Take care. Bye bye.
