Nneka-Shay Grant (00:00) hey guys. Good morning.

Nneka-Shay Grant (00:06) Hello. How are you? Good. How are you?

Niccole Dreiling (00:09) Doing?

Nneka-Shay Grant (00:10) Pretty well today? Thanks for taking the time to hop on a Monday. I appreciate it of.

Niccole Dreiling (00:14) Course, I may, Ashley’s I believe here and Chanel Jackson may pop in as well. They are both very involved. And Ashley has basically been managing the licensure process tasks for years. Chanel came. She and I started at the same time in 2024. And basically, right now we are in contract with licenselogix and we’re having, we know we’re experiencing some challenges, some ongoing challenges and I looked around and found medallion, is kind of the gold standard when it comes to this and I wanted to have them as well be here to kind of get a quick demo and kind of understand your service and how it works? Yeah.

Nneka-Shay Grant (01:03) Makes perfect sense. And just a quick really quick by way of introduction. I mean, I’m Anika and I’m a part of the partnerships team here at medallion. And typically, what like really what the goal for the call is today is just to understand like what’s important to you? What’s important to the business and then give you enough information about medallion so that you can determine if it makes sense for you to evaluate us as a credentialing and licensing partner. So, I know these calls are typically pretty brief. They’re about 15 minutes. So typically they’re pretty high level, just understand maybe your current state today and like what you’re looking to solve. And then the next step would be to loop in an account specialist and they can go into more detail about pricing about setting up that demo, you know, and about that, what that relationship would look like. So, yeah, just really quickly would love to kind of hear a bit more about the organization. I mean, what you guys are, I know you guys are currently using license logic. So just a bit more about how that’s currently working, and what you’re looking to solve?

Niccole Dreiling (02:06) Ashley, would you mind talking about the licensure part and Chanel, would you address the credentialing and part of it? Because I think we may be able to, with medallion manage all of this with one platform. Yep, it doesn’t need to be anything fancy, just kind of like where, you know, where you, what you’ve noticed over the last couple of years with license logics and what we use them for?

Chanel Jackson (02:28) Okay. Sure. I would say I would let Ashley go ahead and kind of explain more because currently, what we’re using license logics for is strictly the licensing and I believe that’s because for… honestly, I’m not sure why that is now that I’m speaking it out loud. I know for the home health side of things, it’s because that’s all non expiring, well from the state of Maryland, it is those licenses are non expiring, but for some of the other payers, like for the credentialing side, those things that are due every three years in a similar cadence to our licensing. I’m honestly not sure that’s probably something Osa might have a better understanding of why it’s not used or I’m not honestly sure. But like I said, Ashley would definitely be able to give more of a better background of how we’ve used license logics historically. Thank you.

Ashley Hill (03:20) Thank you. Hello. How are you today?

Nneka-Shay Grant (03:22) I’m good. How are you? I’m.

Ashley Hill (03:23) doing pretty good. So as far as license logics, we’ve basically used them, they’ve all right. In the past, they would provide applications from specific states that they have already pre populated the information. They would give us the application to review all of the information that they put in to make sure it was correct. And then they would send it off to that state once they get the okay from us. And over the last year, they’ve literally just they’ve created like an intake portal where we have to go in and answer the questions. And then even recently, they’ve sent us a paper application that we had to fill out, send to them. And then in order for them to send it off to the state, okay, that is just like the gist of everything. We are very big on communication. And as far as any missing pieces, like we’ve provided that to licenselogix here. Recently, they have forgotten to attach stuff to the applications which causes a delay in the renewal. And we’re just trying to get away from that.

Nneka-Shay Grant (04:37) Makes sense. And we.

Niccole Dreiling (04:39) recently had, there was a data entry error where our license was. I think it was a license that was supposed to renew every year, was in there as an every two year renewal. And so it was missed until. And I think that was a Dea license recently.

Niccole Dreiling (04:55) So it’s just, we feel like we are having to do so much extra to check on the job that we’re paying them to do that. We’re not sure why we’re paying them and they’re actually getting in our way a little bit more than they should from what I’m experiencing. And so what I would love to see is like one solution, and like understand how the workflow goes and, you know, to make sure that we have, you know, when I worked when I worked in financial services, for general counsel, you know, any of our contracts that were going to be due, we would get a 90 day. We get a 60 day, we get a 30 day, you know, right now with licenselogix, we’re getting a 30 day and it’s like cram it all in. And if it gets done, it gets done great. You know, they did their job. They’re not walking us through the process the way most firms work, right? And so, I think we need to get back to that and we need to get back to accuracy. We just can’t afford, the errors anymore, yeah?

Nneka-Shay Grant (05:54) That’s super helpful. And out of curiosity, I know you guys mentioned that you guys have a delay in like renewal date just to kind of pour data entry. What’s that leading to? Like what’s, the, I guess, the end result of licenselogix not being able to complete this task on like a exact, a timely manner.

Niccole Dreiling (06:19) I’m not sure that we know, I think that we’re finding, I think that what’s happened is that we just continue to find mistakes. Yeah, and we continue to experience errors and I don’t see any pattern with it except for that. I feel like we’re not really, it feels sloppy. It doesn’t feel like they’re taking it as seriously as they should. You know, this is a company that was bought out by, you know, a company that does my registered agent for my LLC, for my business, and they’re really good at that, but they’re not good at this, you know. So I think that maybe they had some kind of acquisition but I know that there were problems before that as well with accuracy. So I think that’s the biggest driver that we have. And just, to have a platform, that is clean, that makes sense that’s easy to use and to have that, you know, that relationship with somebody who’s going to provide us with the notifications to give us enough time to get everything submitted. Yeah.

Nneka-Shay Grant (07:11) That makes sense. And you guys said you guys, you’re using two different platforms for licensing and credentialing, what platform are you using for credentialing? So.

Chanel Jackson (07:19) For credentialing, and it’s not a separate platform, but because… there are different payers that we are credentialed with, we use their, whatever their portals are. So they’re they have self service portals that we’re able to go in and create, do the processing on us on our side. Mainly, I’m not sure if that’s ever been explored… to be done through a third party company. I know I came in on the call when Nicole was giving an introduction. As Nicole and I came in, we did come in about the same time, but then we were just kind of introduced to this part of our role probably like a year ago, so, understood.

Nneka-Shay Grant (08:01) And how many people do you guys have on the team? Is it just, is it just you, Chanel and Ashley? Well?

Niccole Dreiling (08:07) There’s kind of two, yes for the licensing and then for the credentialing and enrollments. All of that is a few other individuals as well. And really what happened was is, you know, someone left the company and that person left and things weren’t documented well, the processes. Sops, all that kind of stuff. So when we got here as brand new people in the role that was kind of abandoned in a way, you know, we’ve been trying to build that up and kind of like put some process around it and build it up. And what we’re finding is that if there’s an opportunity to have a platform that can have our licensing and credentialing all in one place, I know, that will make Chanel’s day. So if she had one, one place to go to, where all everything sat and everything lived, I think it would make everybody happy. We’re trying to build something like that ourselves, you know, just using sharepoint and teams and, you know, we’ve got our challenges with that. So, when I saw some of the services that you guys offer, I was very excited to see a demo. So definitely want to get that scheduled. Yeah.

Nneka-Shay Grant (09:07) No, that makes sense. And I promise last question before I kind of get into medallion a bit, how many providers are you guys supporting? Was.

Niccole Dreiling (09:16) it like 30 Chanel?

Chanel Jackson (09:18) Let me see. Hold on, sorry.

Niccole Dreiling (09:21) Because I just did that mpi list, okay?

Chanel Jackson (09:23) I was gonna say I just had the mpi grid up. That sounds accurate. If, when you’re combining the pharmacy and home health and infusion, that does sound pretty accurate. My excel doesn’t want to open at the moment? No worries.

Nneka-Shay Grant (09:44) At all. So around the 30 provide mark that’s okay. And do you know how many payers you guys are enrolled with?

Chanel Jackson (09:55) There is probably off the top of my head a good six, maybe seven medicare. It’s.

Niccole Dreiling (10:03) under 10. Yeah.

Chanel Jackson (10:04) Makes.

Nneka-Shay Grant (10:06) sense. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. And, I think that this is exactly when… organizations like yourself typically like reach out to medallion and try to see, okay, is there a more efficient way, to do these processes? And thankfully, there is, I definitely would love to… kind of give you a bit more insight into medallion. So traditionally, there has been two ways to handle credentialing, you know, licensing enrollment and that’s either like you build out an internal team and maybe having software to support them or, you know, spreadsheets. But typically, as you guys continue to grow, I don’t know if you guys have any growth plans on the provider front. But as you grow, you’re adding head count and kind of dealing with the limits of that system or the second option is outsourcing it to a third party which sometimes works, but often you kind of lose control and visibility into maybe some of those turnaround times which sounds pretty familiar with the, with license logics. So what medallion does is we’re essentially solving for both of those. So we’re a healthcare technology company. We’re backed by things like Google and Salesforce. And we’re using AI automation to handle the entire provider life cycle. So everything from credentialing to licensing to pay enrollment is all handled in one software or one environment. So by using the automation, we’re able to cut down about 90 percent of the manual work that’s involved in the process today. And for the parts that kind of still require human judgment, we do have an internal team on our end that ensures accuracy and compliance every step of the way. So really it’s that combination of automation technology plus our experts that we have in house that allows us to contractually commit to turnaround times for the work that we do. So you never have to worry about, you know, things are no errors or things not being submitted on time. The medallion platform essentially gives you full visibility into where maybe the status with the payer is, or where your license is. So you’re able to essentially have a full gamut, of everything from your provider enrollment to credentialing. So that, is typically where we kind of start partnering with solutions or with organizations like yours. So just curious if that kind of sounds like what you’re looking for or if there’s any other questions? I.

Niccole Dreiling (12:40) Think it sounds great. Chanel. Does that kind of sound like a dream? Like does this sound like something that would be helpful? Yeah.

Chanel Jackson (12:48) From what should explain, it does for sure. Okay?

Niccole Dreiling (12:52) Can you show us a little bit today even though you can’t do a demo? I don’t.

Nneka-Shay Grant (12:56) have a demo environment. So unfortunately, I can’t pop in and show you guys the platform itself. Typically you like again, you’d have to be connected with, that account specialist. And then, you know, kind of go through that process, of securing that demo. And the reason we do that is we want the medallion platform solves for a lot of things. So we want to ensure that we know exactly what you are looking for. So we’re able to tailor the demo environment to your specific needs. So you’re not looking at, you know, just whatever it might be in the environment. So that’s typically why we do that. But just curious, I know it sounds like medallion could be a good fit.

Nneka-Shay Grant (13:34) I’m curious, if you guys have any, a timeline to solve this, or anything like coming up, maybe some growth that you guys are planning for that you’re looking for a solution for not?

Niccole Dreiling (13:47) At this time, we don’t have either any restrictions or constraints with time and we are in, you know, we are looking at growth opportunities through the infusion center, but I don’t have any numbers or any data on it at this time. So basically, what we’re looking at is we’re looking at, you know, getting a platform put in place so that we can make sure that we don’t have any more mishaps with our current banker. So we are under a contract with them. But we are, from my understanding, we’re able to get out of that contract with a certain amount of notice.

Niccole Dreiling (14:20) We would have to go through an RFP process and the sip process with our technology team to go all the way through before we can award anything. So it’s kind of exploratory on our end as well. I think that, the important part will be, to, for us to be able to see a demo that kind of shows how it could solution some of the things that we work on a regular basis, and be able to demo that to maybe the CFO eventually so that he can see whether this is something that we should explore or go forward with.

Niccole Dreiling (14:55) But I think it’s a great, I would love to schedule that demo so that we can keep exploring for sure. Yeah.

Nneka-Shay Grant (15:03) That makes sense and would love, to put you through to that next step. Just, I guess off the top of my head, I can tell you that our typical deal sizes typically fall around the 50,000 dollar a year mark simple because it’s essentially the idea behind it is you don’t have to go ahead and like hire more full time employees.

Nneka-Shay Grant (15:27) So, this is essentially putting in place software instead of having to grow that team. So, you know, just kind of putting that out there. If that feels comfortable to you. I’d love to go ahead and, you know, set up that schedule that second call and get you on your way, to meeting with the team.

Niccole Dreiling (15:49) Let’s go ahead and schedule the second call and I will talk to I’ll talk. I work directly with the president. I’m going to get chat with her about this and I’ll let you know if that’s going to be an issue.

Nneka-Shay Grant (16:00) Okay. Sounds good. I can go ahead and do that for you. And do you guys have any? I know we are out of office for the rest of this week. I believe we’re back on Friday. Do you guys have any availability?

Niccole Dreiling (16:13) Is fine. I don’t think there’s any reason to.

Nneka-Shay Grant (16:16) Okay. Yeah. Sounds good.

Nneka-Shay Grant (16:26) Do you have a preferred day next week? Yeah.

Niccole Dreiling (16:30) I’m looking Wednesday’s not a very good day. Thursday afternoon would be good… Thursday afternoon or Friday afternoon. Yeah, those two would be.

Nneka-Shay Grant (16:42) Great. Are you guys Eastern Time? Yes. Okay.

Nneka-Shay Grant (16:51) Where are you? I’m in Texas? So I’m Central Time, we’re in Texas. Nice. We’re in Texas. I’m in Austin.

Niccole Dreiling (16:59) All right. That’s where I met my husband really?

Nneka-Shay Grant (17:02) Yeah. The team is actually coming here for our quarterly sales review. So we should all be here. Yeah.

Niccole Dreiling (17:07) Let’s see.

Nneka-Shay Grant (17:11) Already Eastern Time and today is the thirteenth. So next week?

Nneka-Shay Grant (17:24) How is two PM, your time next week? Which day, Thursday that’s.

Niccole Dreiling (17:30) that works? Okay? Perfect guys. Okay. Do you want to join and be on that next?

Chanel Jackson (17:36) Thursday at two. Yes, next Thursday at two works for me as well, Ashley?

Ashley Hill (17:40) It works. Yes. Okay. Thank you.

Niccole Dreiling (17:42) Thank.

Nneka-Shay Grant (17:42) you. Of course. I will follow up in an email. I think I already have you guys email. So I’ll just, I’ll be sure to add you on that invite. Okay? And let’s see Ashley, is that?

Niccole Dreiling (17:53) Too late in the day for you? Don’t you pick up your son at two 30?

Ashley Hill (17:58) So, the bus will be here by like three 315. So, because I get off the call and get around, I should be okay, but thank you.

Niccole Dreiling (18:07) Okay. Sure. Yeah.

Nneka-Shay Grant (18:08) And just so so we have a good understanding of the next call, this call is not the demo call.

Nneka-Shay Grant (18:15) This is more of just understanding pricing, understanding what you guys are currently doing right now. So a bit deeper into kind of what we discussed today, and then they can go ahead and set the demo environment for you.

Niccole Dreiling (18:27) Okay. So, Chanel and Ashley, I guess make it optional, you know, if you want to be a part of that discussion, if you want to join, then feel free. And then if not completely understandable, we can pull you in when it’s time to actually start the demo process. Okay? Sounds good. Feel free if you like. All right. Well, thank you very much for all the information and I look forward to next week. Yeah.

Nneka-Shay Grant (18:48) Absolutely. You guys have a good week. Thank.

Chanel Jackson (18:50) You.
