Dimi Barot (00:00) hey, Kyle. Hey.

Kyle Rice (00:01) Dr. Brown, how are you doing today?

Dimi Barot (00:02) I’m okay. How are you?

Kyle Rice (00:04) We’re hanging in there good. I was very sorry to see that the Puerto Rico application, we had some issues with the money funds there. I know Cassidy had triple confirmed that, you know, with the application as well as with fsmb. So I was very sorry to hear that was returned and wanted to apologize profusely for that.

Dimi Barot (00:24) Well, here’s, the question. When did you guys find this out?

Kyle Rice (00:29) We just received notification yesterday.

Dimi Barot (00:32) But you said in your email that you guys are checking in with them daily?

Kyle Rice (00:36) Yes, we’ve been trying to call daily. They have been rather non responsive in terms of phone call and email back to us.

Dimi Barot (00:44) But do you guys have a log of attempts to reach them on a daily basis internally?

Kyle Rice (00:49) We do have a log of, yeah, I can send all the follow ups that we have completed for you with Puerto Rico?

Dimi Barot (00:57) But you have documentation that we’ve been trying to contact them daily?

Kyle Rice (01:02) Yeah. Let me see here what the last follow ups are. I believe they were on a daily basis. But let me confirm that as well.

Kyle Rice (01:20) Yeah, it looks like for the specialist notes, reach out on the seventh, the tenth, the fourteenth and the fifteenth for follow up with the board there since it’s been delivered.

Dimi Barot (01:30) So, here’s what happened? This is what I wanted to share with you and Nick and maybe other members of the team so they would have visibility and see if there’s anything we can do at all.

Nic Schisler (01:42) I.

Dimi Barot (01:42) got your email yesterday afternoon which I didn’t see. Actually I was working through until like seven 30 eastern. And yesterday in the mail, I got this from Puerto Rico dated April sixth with pretty much in Spanish. What I think you were telling me, let me turn my background off so you guys can see this. And then you can tell me how to do this. Let’s see video effects. All right. Here we go. So I got this yesterday full cloth the entire application back… with some highlights in Spanish dated April sixth. But the label also dated April sixth that it was sent out and it looks like they’re saying the… payment pagadero and that this is the number and the person to call. So on the next page, it has a photocopy with circles as to what apparently needs to be redone. And then the next page is the actual application with the money orders that Cassidy sent. So the question is like if we’ve been pinging them every day and they’ve been non responsive. And then they’re sending this application back to me for something that we had already double triple confirmed was done accurately? Are we going to time out? And are we going to get into a problem? Like we’ve had multiple times before? Where, because of one thing that they had changed up on us or we, you know, according to them didn’t do correctly? Is this going to end up becoming a back and forth situation? Or do we have a little bit more of a definitive way of making sure by the way I take it that from your email, this probably actually should have gone to Cassidy instead of me because then she was going to collect the money order. So I guess I need to get a label and I can go to the, whatever usps, fedex whatever and get this to her. But I just like I’m getting to this point now where I’m like how do we fix this problem and triangulate resources and communication so that if it isn’t this something else? Yeah, yeah. And.

Kyle Rice (04:05) Just to be, you know, completely transparent with you, dr perot, Puerto Rico has been very challenging communication wise. We’ve sent them multiple emails where they’ve gone with no response. And then Cassidy has picked up the phone several times where she’s got in contact with the physical board and then they will transfer her and the call will drop. And she’s tried that repeatedly. So just transparently, there have been some communication barriers with the board here. So I understand it’s been a little bit of a merry go round with the, you know, the application the, you know, the notary stuff, the application fees, Cassidy did let me know this morning that she did reach out to the, she did receive an email from the board stating that the accounting office is going to send additional instructions with the fees for next steps. So what we can do here internally is we could get the usps labels going for turnaround there or if the application should be complete, right? Like they didn’t make, they didn’t make any red lines on there or anything additional.

Nic Schisler (05:04) Or, I mean, I think that’s our, sorry to recall. But like,

Kyle Rice (05:07) yeah, no worries. A.

Nic Schisler (05:08) Couple of things take a big step backwards. We, I think your frustrations are our frustrations at this point. Dr. Broad. I think this is a very unique process and board that we’re dealing with. I think that the good news is that it’s coming down to money orders now. And I’m happy that there aren’t larger things on the applications. Now, what I would ask from you and the money orders are frustrating because we did do exactly what they said to do. And yet here we are and it’s like we’re changing this on you again. And I think that’s the most frustrating thing is we can’t actually get in touch with one singular person to help us and validate what we should be or shouldn’t be doing. So. My, one question for you though, what’s the phone number, who’s like the contact information they get? Because we have nothing. So, I’m curious, is that an actual contact or is that just the board’s number? I can’t we can’t see it. Unfortunately. Sorry.

Dimi Barot (06:10) My bad. Yeah, it’s my bad. So.

Nic Schisler (06:12) If it’s a contact, we can share that and have Cassidy called today?

Kyle Rice (06:16) Yeah, it’s.

Dimi Barot (06:21) a person’s name and a number and I’ll scan it and send it to you guys, please do.

Nic Schisler (06:26) I think we can, if we can get that today, we will make an attempt and reach out to her today. I mean, it’s very frustrating. I think we were all extremely hopeful that we crossed our T’s and dotted our I’s did it three times double checked. And yet we all had the same reaction and our frustrations are just as much as yours. So, you know, it’s a good news, bad news situation right now. The good news is I feel like it’s very little that we need to correct. And, yeah, for now, so let’s see how quickly, we can get on this piece and kind of go from there. Essentially… we all share the same sentiment that you do. This is a tough board. It’s a very unique process. Like we mentioned, we rarely handle any licenses in Puerto Rico. And we haven’t for some time, you know, if we still had somebody that could go there in person that might have potentially helped us. Unfortunately, it’s not an option anymore. But I think at this point, we’re doing all we can and we’re at the mercy of the board essentially. Yeah, I.

Dimi Barot (07:34) didn’t have Cassidy’s email address. For some reason. Let me copy you, Nick that’s.

Nic Schisler (07:43) fine. That’s perfect. Yeah.

Kyle Rice (07:44) We’ll get to where it needs to go there. So it sounds like you wanted to.

Nic Schisler (07:47) Send to Kyle and I and Tristian, that would be great. Let.

Dimi Barot (07:50) Me do that. Yeah.

Kyle Rice (07:52) So it sounds like for next steps here, we just need to verify, the submission for the money order, get that reissued? I’ll verify the team if they want to send the application back, but it sounds like it’s we can just hold it pending those money orders for resubmission. And then I’m just curious. Does not, did Puerto Rico indicate any in terms of the fees, if they were requesting a new fee or if it was like the, that the money order was endorsed improperly or did they indicate anything like that?

Dimi Barot (08:26) Check the attachment I sent you. It says maybe… a new form of payment to the secretary secretaria… de hacienda, which is exactly what we’ve done only. Oh, you know what it is? If you look at the money orders… please do this out of control. If you look at the money orders, do you see how it’s made to the secretary? But then the reference is my name and application. They don’t want that on that line because they want this to only be paid to that. So there’s it’s like we put a memo and they want to remove that from the payment too. Okay? It’s a combination of deductive reasoning and then terrible translation from Spanish, but I think that’s what it is because it says solamente secretario de hacienda, solamente, which means only the secretary of hacienda. Okay. So we probably, which is really funny because if you look at the money order… I just want you guys to see this now. I’m defending you. If you look at the money order, do you see how there’s a gap between the line for payment? A small gap? Yeah.

Nic Schisler (09:55) It’s very small. It’s hard to see but we can see it, but.

Dimi Barot (09:58) maybe whoever’s reading this there doesn’t have the best eyesight and they’re like get that other stuff off of there. We need to cash this and it needs to say that.

Kyle Rice (10:09) So it sounds like the fee was correct and they’re just nitpicking the memo line a little bit, which is extremely unfortunate. So, I did get your email here. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to forward this to Cassidy, let her know next steps in terms of the updated money orders that we need. I’m just going to ask them just to remove that memo portion in entirety just to eliminate any additional confusion here. And then if you’re aligned dr burrow for next steps, we’ll get those money orders reissued. And then with a new label if that works.

Dimi Barot (10:42) Do you want to have? So here’s the question, do you want to have the money orders reissued, sent to me, I replace these two and send it back to them or do you want what I would prefer? Which is I send this thing whole cloth to Cassidy. She does it gives it another quality assurance check and then sends it out.

Kyle Rice (10:59) Promptly.

Dimi Barot (11:00) Yeah.

Kyle Rice (11:00) We could do, that second ladder, that ladder route there. All right. So we’ll do that.

Dimi Barot (11:06) If you can send me the label exactly to go to Cassidy as soon as this afternoon, I could try to get it out this afternoon. And since it’s a Wednesday, that way, hopefully she gets it by Friday and she can knock out what she needs to over the weekend instead of this continuing to be an issue. Because the other thing that I’m concerned about is coming out of some of this stuff with dates and timestamps on them, you know?

Kyle Rice (11:28) Yeah, exactly. Would the, are you okay with an overnight label there, dr? Brogan? Yeah, yeah. All right. I will get that moving for you. All right. So just to summarize, we’ll do your preferred routing there. We’ll send, I’ll ask Cassidy to send a label to her from you to her tonight. We’ll reissue the money orders. It sounds like the fee is correct. And just the memo line was the issue. I’m just going to ask her to remove the memo line in entirety.

Dimi Barot (11:56) But also ask her to check or whoever on your team to check the Spanish and make sure that that’s what I’m correct? Because I’m not saying I’m right? This is just my wealth grade Spanish coming into play.

Kyle Rice (12:07) Yeah. I’m going to run this through translation just to double confirm as well and make sure we dot our TS cross our is here and make sure nothing further is outstanding. It does look like she did include a contact information here for Sam martinez here. So we will try to use that moving forward as a good contact basis. And then hopefully we can get some good updates moving forward here.

Dimi Barot (12:28) Yeah. And if Cassidy decides that she wants to on my behalf, go ahead and send a digital version of the entire packet to this individual and say, please expect this to be coming in physical form. Maybe that just gets like one per, I don’t know. I’m just riffing because now we’re at the point where we don’t really know what to do.

Kyle Rice (12:48) Yeah, yeah. We can just overhaul them with comms at this point and see if we can get something moving since they’ve been, you know, pretty non responsive in entirety. I was gonna say I did try to pick up the phone as well and try to contact them. And I got some of the similar kickback that Cassidy was getting where they would just drop the call in entirety. So it seems they have some very poor internal communications at the board end there.

Dimi Barot (13:10) The third world U. S territory. It is what it is. It is what it is all.

Kyle Rice (13:15) Right. Awesome. So, we will do that. We will get the label to Cassidy. I will get her moving on that as soon as we pop off here. I will, and then just indicate the memos and then I’ll double verify what they had sent over as well in terms of next steps.

Dimi Barot (13:29) All right. So I can expect to get an overnight shipping label from you this afternoon to go directly to Cassidy. And I put this packet as is into that envelope with that label. Yes. Okay. Thank you, Kyle. Yeah, no problem. All right. I’ll talk to you guys soon. All.

Kyle Rice (13:44) Right. Thanks, dr barot. Thanks, dr barot.

Dimi Barot (13:46) Thank you.
