Jennifer Mohler (00:00) hey, Amy. Hi, how are you? I’m good. How are you? Good?
Amy Barfield (00:04) Is it just us today?
Jennifer Mohler (00:07) I don’t think so. But maybe.
Amy Barfield (00:09) Okay. I,
Jennifer Mohler (00:11) thought Amber and James were coming. I love that. We’re both wearing green. I feel like we’re coordinated… how’s everything going? How was your Easter?
Amy Barfield (00:21) It was good. I got so busy with work and stuff the week before. It just felt like it crept up on me. And normally, I have my family over and I do the whole dinner and everything and my mom was like, let me do it this year. I was like, okay.
Jennifer Mohler (00:37) Yeah, perfect. So I just showed up.
Amy Barfield (00:39) This year, I didn’t have to cook which is really nice.
Jennifer Mohler (00:42) That’s really nice. Yeah, I love.
Amy Barfield (00:45) That, yeah. So we had a good time. Yeah. How was yours? Good? It was.
Jennifer Mohler (00:48) Good. Yeah, we kept it very relaxed this year. We didn’t host anybody. We just, it was the four of us and it was just, it was really nice. So, yeah, it was a good day. Yeah, played some games, watched a movie, so.
Amy Barfield (01:06) Yeah. And the weather, well, here, it was kind of rainy and dreary, but we’re in tornado season here in Oklahoma right now. Yeah. Are you guys having crazy weather? It seems like everywhere else in the country is having crazy weather you?
Jennifer Mohler (01:21) Know, our weather has not been that crazy. We had a, we had kind of like a very early heat wave about a month ago where, you know, we got up to like 105, which was like, you know, 29 degrees above average but it cooled back off a little bit. And, you know, we’ve had like some, a little bit of overcast and a little bit here and there, but nothing crazy. So we’ve been pretty fortunate.
Amy Barfield (01:50) Yeah, we had a weird little heat wave 82 degrees for us but had a little heat wave more than what we should in March sure. So we took advantage and took the kids to the zoo and stuff like that fun. And then the cold weather came back. Yeah, now it’s whistling outside because it’s so windy. So that’s what we’re doing now, it’s all the wind but everybody’s trying to open up their pools and all the dirt and stuff keeps getting in their holes.
Jennifer Mohler (02:19) Sure. Yeah, for sure.
Amy Barfield (02:24) All right. Hi, everyone, James. I don’t know, have we met before?
James Alongi (02:28) I don’t believe so.
Amy Barfield (02:31) Okay. Sorry.
James Alongi (02:32) Let me turn my camera on. Hi.
Amy Barfield (02:35) It’s nice to meet you and I can introduce myself. I’m Amy the engagement manager for your group and I just work with each of our internal teams to kind of push agendas along. I’ve been here for about a year and a half. Most of my expertise comes on the payrollment side and credentialing. So, I’m happy to meet you. Do you mind introducing yourself for me? Sure?
James Alongi (03:03) I’m the revenue cycle, senior manager. I’ll have a new title next month like operations manager, something like that. Oh, awesome.
Amy Barfield (03:11) Congrats.
James Alongi (03:12) I’m going to be joining and getting more involved with the medallion and the credentialing to support Amber. Okay, cool. Jen, hopefully gets to back off a little bit on the day to day. Yeah, over time. So, yeah.
Jennifer Mohler (03:25) We announced some organizational changes yesterday, but it’s some stuff that we’ve been working on in the background.
Jennifer Mohler (03:33) And so, in addition to revenue cycle and payer contracting and all of that, I’m also going to be overseeing what we’re calling our patient access team, which is going to include scheduling and our operators, in addition to off and benefits and our assessment coordinator team. And so… we’re kind of shifting some things around. And so James will be in the mix. Okay?
Amy Barfield (04:03) Cool. Hopefully, this is a good shift.
Jennifer Mohler (04:06) Yeah, no, I think it’s going to be great. It’s like I keep telling everyone I have a lot to learn, you know, so it’s not happening overnight, but yeah, I’m really excited to, you know, bring the teams together. So it’ll be great.
Amy Barfield (04:22) Very.
James Alongi (04:23) nice.
Amy Barfield (04:24) So, I saw your email, Amber and I did flag it to support to review why you’re getting these notifications when they’re client owned that?
Jennifer Mohler (04:36) Was the question, right? The bot responded. Yeah. So the bot responded, but like, strangely, you didn’t get included on the bot’s response, Amy, so I forwarded it to you. So even though you’re the one who sent it, like when they responded, it didn’t I don’t see you copied on it. So the support bot did respond.
Amy Barfield (04:57) To today’s message?
Jennifer Mohler (04:59) Yeah, yes. Okay. So, I sent it, I forwarded it to you like two minutes ago. So I’m sure you didn’t see it. Okay?
Amy Barfield (05:07) Good. I can flag that. Okay? Now that I have a chain, it’s like I submitted this and you didn’t include me?
Jennifer Mohler (05:15) Yeah. Like, I was like, that’s weird. Yeah, I thought it was, very strange.
Amy Barfield (05:22) Yeah. We updated the email, but even with the old email… like if you submitted this through the old ticketing or support system, I would have been included. Yeah.
Jennifer Mohler (05:35) And it was like responding to you like at least the way that I read, it was responding to your inquiry, like it even said, hi, Amy, and I was like, yeah.
Amy Barfield (05:45) And then my email’s not there.
Jennifer Mohler (05:47) Amy’s, not on this email, but, yeah, I, yeah, it said, yeah.
Amy Barfield (05:54) I don’t have a response. So.
Jennifer Mohler (05:57) Weird. Did you get the one that I forwarded? I see yours. Okay. All right. Okay. I see yours.
Amy Barfield (06:03) Okay. I’ll flag that to support and say what’s going on here? It’s crazy. Okay. And then the practice location migration… you have questions about that. Yeah.
Jennifer Mohler (06:18) So… I saw the spreadsheet and let me see if I can share my screen. I’m not, I’m on my laptop.
Amy Barfield (06:31) I think I can join. I didn’t include James on that, but I can forward it. No, I forwarded.
Jennifer Mohler (06:36) It, yeah, I sent it to him like he probably hasn’t had a chance to look at it. I just sent it a little bit ago.
Jennifer Mohler (06:57) OK. So, let me share my screen. And… OK, so when I open the spreadsheet… it looks to me like this is just our locations that we have closed dates on. Is that right? It’s not all of our locations, no?
Amy Barfield (07:20) These are only the ones that have closed dates. So they’re just basically asking, can we archive these?
Jennifer Mohler (07:27) I would be OK, moving them to, because if I’m reading it right there’s, closed… active and archive. So active, yeah, closed active and archive and all of these could be moved to closed, but I don’t want to archive them yet. And I prefer not to archive them until we actually remove them from our medicare records. I just don’t want to forget about them when we go to do our revalidations.
Amy Barfield (07:59) And.
Jennifer Mohler (07:59) because we have so many out of state providers all over the place. We don’t go in and do a, you know, an 855 be every time a provider terms, right? We tend to wait until we’ve got someone to add before we make the updates. Sure.
Amy Barfield (08:17) So,
Jennifer Mohler (08:18) what would we do on this sheet? I guess? So in?
Amy Barfield (08:21) That on column F, there’s a dropdown and then you can select approve.
Jennifer Mohler (08:28) Closed. Okay. Okay. And then you,
Amy Barfield (08:31) can just click and drag that all the way down and it should, oh,
Jennifer Mohler (08:34) perfect. Auto.
Amy Barfield (08:35) Fill all those, oh,
Jennifer Mohler (08:37) I’m so not good at Google sheets.
Amy Barfield (08:40) No, you’re good.
Jennifer Mohler (08:41) Okay, perfect. And then where it said to click on the summary tab… and, oh, you can ignore that part.
Amy Barfield (08:55) Oh, okay. I had a summary tab of all my clients and I just put yours.
Jennifer Mohler (08:59) In there. Oh, got it. Okay. Sorry about that. Yeah, no, no problem. I was just like, I, yeah.
Amy Barfield (09:04) Where is the summary tab? You’re like, I don’t see a summary.
Jennifer Mohler (09:07) Okay. Perfect. All right. Okay. Well, then, this is done and so you can, okay?
Amy Barfield (09:11) Perfect. Thank you. I will leave that alone.
Jennifer Mohler (09:16) Another, I guess question. And James actually noticed this. It says any org not reviewed by 427 will not be migrated. And so, is there some type of, I feel like normally, when medallion makes platform changes, they just kind of like roll them out and there’s like only one version of the software and everybody’s using the same. Is this different now? And are there going to be like different where you can choose to take certain features or not take certain features?
Amy Barfield (09:46) No, I think this is across the board. Oh, okay. Yeah, this is across the board and I want to say they’ll update your ability to have this feature in medallion, moving forward, probably next month on the next month’s, updates because we have to have this in by the 20 seventh of this month. So, yeah, okay.
Jennifer Mohler (10:07) You’ll be.
Amy Barfield (10:08) able to close archive locations yourself? Okay? So that’ll be nice. I know that’s been, it’s been a request for a lot of our clients. Yeah, because they have to go to support and then something, you know, messes up in the process, you know, right? So, if you’ve got like open enrollment, still, you would close an enrollment or you could close a location, but it still shows up on the enrollment because you might have like open Ar or something like that where you still need to get enrollment for it. Yeah, sure.
Jennifer Mohler (10:37) Okay. Yeah. All right. That makes sense. Okay?
Amy Barfield (10:44) Did you have anything else today I?
Jennifer Mohler (10:47) Do not, it looks like Amber, she can hear, but she can’t.
Amy Barfield (10:53) speak to?
Jennifer Mohler (10:54) Us? Yeah. So, Amber, do you have anything you want to put it in the chat?
Jennifer Mohler (11:05) Okay. Sounds like she’s good, James, do you want to throw anything out there?
James Alongi (11:11) Nope. I don’t have anything.
Amy Barfield (11:15) Okay. James, are you familiar with medallion? Do you need? Do you want to do like an ad hoc training or anything? I’ve.
James Alongi (11:22) been in there periodically since Jen and the team were helping, getting it built. So I know, I can navigate my way around. I probably know enough to be dangerous, but I’m sure I’ll learn more about the actual workflows from Amber as we as I get kind of pulled in. So I think I’ll be good.
Amy Barfield (11:41) Cool. If you run into anything, feel free to reach out. I can always send you like a quick little loom video, how to navigate through a certain area you might get blocked in or we can also do like a training call.
Jennifer Mohler (11:55) Just let me know.
Amy Barfield (11:57) Thanks, Amy. Appreciate that. No problem. All right. You guys have a great weekend and we’ll see you next time all.
Jennifer Mohler (12:03) Right. Sounds good. Thanks bye.
Amy Barfield (12:05) Bye bye.
