SkyTherapist
Snapshot
VA network staffing org (therapists, counselors, NPs) rebuilding its provider network state by state after exiting Andros; Medallion prospect in active evaluation.
Profile
- Working primarily with VA/TRICARE networks since 2013–14; killed commercial payer contracts as of early 2026 after shutting down a Houston clinic.
- Provider types: therapists, counselors, nurse practitioners.
- Growth model: job fairs twice a month (20–40 providers each); state-by-state buildout driven by VA demand; targeting national contracts (e.g. pursuing CareSource expansion to all 16 states).
- Currently adding ~50 providers/month; starting from ~60 cleared providers in GA and FL; Tricare upload of ~2,500 providers previously attempted.
- Per Gong demo, 2026-04-20.
Operations
- Credentialing verification SLA (with Andros): ~1 week. Audit document requests from Andros took up to 2 weeks — Teresa flagged this as a key pain point.
- Roster submissions managed internally by Teresa; submitted to Tricare West / Optum via Optum Express portal upload; roster submitted to CareSource (not delegated).
- Committee oversight was previously outsourced to Andros — SkyTherapist will manage in-house with Medallion.
- Payers: Tricare West (delegated), Optum CCN (delegated), Humana Tricare (delegated), CareSource (non-delegated; has Tricare carve-out in Tampa — possible delegation in progress); Leidos does its own credentialing (no delegation path).
- Per (Gong 2026-04-20).

Open Issues & Requests
Operational pain
- Andros lacked contract flexibility — locked into high provider volumes regardless of actual demand. Teresa noted volume can swing from 10/month to 50+/month depending on state demand; needs utility-style scale-up/scale-down pricing. Per (Gong 2026-04-20).
- Andros took 2 weeks to provide audit documents (NCQA cert letters, meeting minutes, integrity tool updates) — caused audit extension requests. Per (Gong 2026-04-20).
- Payers (CareSource) generating bulk email notifications for provider CAQH issues; Keith and Teresa receiving them with no consolidated dashboard view. Per (Gong 2026-04-20).
- Provider non-responsiveness to CAQH attestation / re-cred outreach is a recurring issue (especially counselors and therapists vs. NPs). Per (Gong 2026-04-20).
Decisions & Commitments
- 2026-04-20 — Keith confirmed SkyTherapist will self-manage credentialing committee (Medallion does not staff committee); acceptable to them.
- 2026-04-20 — Teresa asked about self-serve vs. full-service pricing options; Jacob clarified Medallion is end-to-end only (no self-serve model).
- 2026-04-20 — Amber (EVP of Network Relations) was absent due to illness; Jacob to send recording and follow-up materials.
- 2026-04-20 — Keith requested flexibility to pull/push volume between contract years and wanted SKU flexibility confirmed; Jacob confirmed this is available.
