Operational pain
- Facility contact instability: credentialing contacts at SNFs/rehabs turn over frequently; no standard process owner (could be medical records, HR, or admissions); Aubrey’s team manually maintains a contact list per facility. Medallion will take on contact maintenance during implementation.
- Follow-up burden: with 120+ applications, Aubrey’s team does weekly follow-up on every open application; escalates to executive (Dr. Vega DNP, Dr. Kotler) when facilities are unresponsive by week 2. One facility quoted 120-day credentialing turnaround.
- Facility rules variability: SNFs/rehabs set their own credentialing rules; can be sold to new management companies overnight, invalidating prior process knowledge.
- Emergency privileges inconsistent: some facilities allow temporary/emergency privileges; many do not or cap it at once per year.
- Provider responsiveness: providers often piecemeal data over days or weeks; Modio does not proactively drive them to complete profiles.
- 10-99 staff: some contractors refuse to share CAQH credentials, requiring manual outreach to keep attestations current.
