Lisa Evans (00:00) south is Lisa. How can I help you?
Nneka-Shay Grant (00:02) Hi, good afternoon, Lisa. This is Anika from medallion. How are you?
Lisa Evans (00:07) Good. Thanks.
Nneka-Shay Grant (00:08) Awesome. I don’t believe we got the chance to connect directly, but I did follow up over LinkedIn. I was hoping you got the chance to take a look at my message.
Lisa Evans (00:17) No, I sure haven’t, I’m sorry, I don’t look at it every day, sometimes not even every week, so.
Nneka-Shay Grant (00:23) Yeah, okay.
Lisa Evans (00:25) No.
Nneka-Shay Grant (00:26) No worries at all. I just wanted to quickly follow up. I think I did send over an email as well. I noticed that.
Lisa Evans (00:32) Are you a locums agency?
Nneka-Shay Grant (00:35) No, we are a solution for credentialing and payer enrollment.
Lisa Evans (00:38) Oh, okay. Sure.
Nneka-Shay Grant (00:40) Yeah. So I saw that Sally baptist was recruiting across the specialties, and just curious how you guys were currently doing credential enrollment?
Lisa Evans (00:41) So, yeah.
Lisa Evans (00:51) So, like we’re a general acute care hospital. So our credentialing is not for provider enrollment but for privileges, right? For our hospital. And we have a cvo and they are based out of our parent company, which is tenet healthcare.
Nneka-Shay Grant (00:58) Okay.
Nneka-Shay Grant (01:07) Okay. Makes sense.
Lisa Evans (01:07) Yeah. So we are tied to that, and we are tied to the software that is handed to us by our parent company as well.
Nneka-Shay Grant (01:17) Okay. Gotcha. That makes sense. So, it would be the tenet healthcare’s decision on whether you guys?
Lisa Evans (01:19) Yes… yes, it would unfortunately.
Nneka-Shay Grant (01:23) Okay.
Lisa Evans (01:25) So, and we like our software, we use Healthstream… for what we need. It works fine. Like since we have a cvo there’s not a lot of localized credentialing that goes on unless it’s an emergent situation. So, the cvo does have like the full.
Nneka-Shay Grant (01:27) Okay.
Nneka-Shay Grant (01:38) Thank you.
Lisa Evans (01:44) Meal deal as you could call it where they can send out the verifications and directly from Healthstream and monitoring… expirables, it’s also done directly from Healthstream with interfaces with those, you know, state and regulatory bodies that we have to do query to verify all of that. So that’s all.
Nneka-Shay Grant (02:04) Right.
Lisa Evans (02:09) Yeah.
Nneka-Shay Grant (02:09) Okay. Yeah, that makes sense.
Lisa Evans (02:11) Interconnected with all of that. Yeah.
Nneka-Shay Grant (02:12) That makes sense. Yeah, we’re typically seeing that like solutions like Healthstream and others, you still have like a bit of a manual process to it where you still have to kind of go in and manually add this information and medallion is using automation to take care of a bunch of that process. So, I thought it would be interesting to see how it would work.
Lisa Evans (02:32) Well, like when the providers apply, it’s an online process, they submit the application online and it’s connected with Healthstream. And so when they enter whatever they enter in the application that is entered into Healthstream directly. So, the only thing that we ever have to do manually is change a date when their expirables needs to be updated or if there’s a new expirable that needs to be added in, you know, separately from any credential, any reappointment or initial appointment. So it is pretty much automated.
Nneka-Shay Grant (02:46) Thank you.
Nneka-Shay Grant (02:55) Okay.
Nneka-Shay Grant (03:03) Yeah.
Lisa Evans (03:06) You know, like I said, we don’t have here at the local level, we don’t have to manage any of that unless it becomes very close to the seven days within the expiration, then we get involved, same thing with the credentialing, you know, unless there’s an emergency turnaround time required for an urgent patient care need, where we need a provider right away, then that’s where we get involved at the local level, but otherwise, it’s all done through our CDO.
Nneka-Shay Grant (03:06) Okay. All right. Yep.
Nneka-Shay Grant (03:30) Okay. That makes sense. It sounds like you guys have, a good system in place. So, just wanted to put medallion. Yep. Yeah. For now, for now, I’ll follow up over email, maybe send over a document just so you can understand like what medallion is, and, you know, if it ever changes in the future, if you guys are looking at solutions, we’d be happy to reconnect then.
Lisa Evans (03:36) More or less. Yeah.
Lisa Evans (03:51) Okay. I appreciate your call and I apologize that I didn’t see your email. It’s I don’t always see every email unfortunately or it gets overlooked accidentally.
Nneka-Shay Grant (03:58) No, yep. No result. Yeah, I know how emails get. So, I, so I wanted to give you a call but no result. Thanks so much Lisa.
Lisa Evans (04:08) Okay. Thank you.
Nneka-Shay Grant (04:09) All right. Good one.
Lisa Evans (04:11) You too. Bye bye.
